Dog-Friendly Blueberry Pancakes  🫐

Blueberries are an excellent addition to any dog’s diet. 

They are full of antioxidants and studies have shown when feeding dogs foods high in antioxidants, there can be health benefits such as improved memory and coat, skin and muscle health. 

This easy to make recipe will have even the fussiest of dogs eating Blueberries in no time. 

Ingredients 

  • 300ml of plant-based milk
  • 1 egg
  • 200g self-raising flour
  • 1/2 tsp of baking powder
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 200g Blueberries
  • 1tspn Manuka Honey
  • Olive Oil
  • Greek Yoghurt (to service)

Method 

  1. Sift the flour baking powder and salt into a large bowl and mix, once combined cerate a well in the middle.
  2. In a jug whisk the egg into the milk and then pour into the well of the bowl with the flour mixture.
  3. Combine the mixture until it has a runny batter like consistency 
  4. Heat a frying pan with some of the olive oil and then pop spoonfuls of the pancake mixture in, put some blueberries on top of the pancakes, leave to cook for around 30 seconds and then flip the pancakes over. You want them to rise nice and fluffy and be golden in colour. Put the cooked pancakes on a plate to cool. 
  5. Repeat until all the pancake mixture is cooked. 
  6. Arrange the pancakes in your dog’s bowl and serve with the Greek yoghurt and honey.
