Helping You Understand Your Dog, Not Just Manage Their Problems

Meet Lisa, The Dog Witch and Dog Wellbeing Consultant

Learn Simple Ways to Support Your Dog’s Health, Behaviour and Wellbeing

Hello! I'm Lisa - The Dog Witch and Dog Wellbeing Consultant

Hello, I'm Lisa , a dog wellbeing consultant and the person behind The Dog Witch.

I believe dogs deserve to be understood as individuals, not reduced to a behaviour, a diagnosis or a list of symptoms.

My work began with a simple question:

What if we stopped looking at what was wrong with a dog and started looking at the whole picture instead?

That question has shaped everything I do.

Today, I work with dog owners who know something isn't quite right with their dog but aren't always sure what is causing the change or what they can do to help.

Maybe your dog has become anxious or reactive.

Perhaps they're struggling to settle, slowing down with age, experiencing ongoing health challenges or simply behaving in a way that feels different from the dog you know.

Those situations can leave you searching for answers, trying different things and wondering whether you're missing something important.

My role is to help you step back, look at the bigger picture and understand your dog more clearly.

Why I Look at the Whole Dog

As a Dog Wellbeing Consultant, over the years I've learnt:

Dogs don't experience their lives in separate boxes.

Sleep can affect behaviour.

Exercise can influence comfort and confidence.

Changes in the environment can affect how a dog copes.

Nutrition, health and wellbeing can influence how they feel day to day.

That's why my work is built around the six pillars of the SEEHN(B) Framework:

Sleep
Exercise
Environment
Health & Wellbeing
Nutrition
Behaviour

Rather than focusing on one problem in isolation, I use this framework to explore the different areas of your dog's life and how they may connect.

The aim isn't to find one magical answer.

It's to build a clearer picture of your individual dog and identify practical ways you can support them.

Dogs Are Always Communicating

One of the biggest shifts I want to create for dog owners is moving away from asking:

“How do I stop this behaviour?”

and towards asking:

“What is my dog trying to tell me?”

A dog who can't settle may be overwhelmed.

A dog who suddenly becomes reactive may be struggling with a change they can't cope with.

A dog who starts behaving differently may be communicating that something has changed.

Understanding the message doesn't necessarily make every challenge disappear overnight, but it gives you a much more useful place to start.

When you understand your dog, you can make more informed choices about how to support them.

From Dog Lover to Dog Wellbeing Consultant

My journey with dogs has developed over many years, through learning, experience and working closely with dogs and their families, however it all started with my own boys Ziggy and Zane -wanting to give them the best life possible and understand their needs. Zak and I now continue their legacy, helping as many dogs as we can.

Along the way, I've explored different approaches to canine wellbeing and discovered just how much can be missed when we concentrate on a single symptom or behaviour.

That experience led me to develop the way I work today, as a dog wellbeing consultant focused on understanding the whole dog

I'm continually learning because dogs are continually teaching us.

Every dog is different, every family is different.

There isn't a one-size-fits-all plan that works for everyone.

That's why I don't believe in handing every dog the same checklist.

I want to understand your dog.

Who I Help

I work with dog owners who may be dealing with:

  • Anxiety, stress or difficulty settling
  • Changes in behaviour or reactivity
  • Ongoing health challenges
  • Pain, stiffness or mobility changes
  • Age-related changes
  • A general feeling that their dog isn't quite themselves

You don't necessarily need to have a dramatic problem to benefit from a whole-dog approach.

Sometimes you simply want to understand your dog better, feel more confident about the choices you're making and give them the best possible quality of life.

What Working With Me Is Like

There is a lot of dog advice online.

Some of it is useful, some of it is contradictory, much of it assumes that every dog will respond in exactly the same way.

My approach is different.

I take the time to understand your dog's individual circumstances, look at the bigger picture and help you identify practical changes that make sense for you and your dog.

You won't be expected to become an overnight expert in canine wellbeing.

You won't be given a huge list of things you have to change all at once.

Instead, we'll focus on understanding what matters most for your dog and giving you the knowledge and confidence to support them.

Want to Understand Your Dog Better?

You don't have to figure everything out on your own.

If you're not sure where to start, the Happy Dog Quiz is a simple way to begin exploring the different areas of your dog's life.

If you're ready for personalised support, the Happy Dog Reset takes that whole-dog approach much deeper, giving you a clearer understanding of your dog and a personalised Six-Pillar Care Plan.

The Dog Witch Isn't Really About Magick

It's about curiosity.

It's about looking a little deeper.

It's about noticing the things that don't quite add up and asking better questions.

Most importantly, it's about helping you understand the dog standing in front of you, rather than trying to fit them into a textbook definition of what a dog should be.

That's the work I love.

And that's why I'm The Dog Witch and dog wellbeing consultant.
